A large-scale engagement event conceived by Double Decker to attract and enthral a new audience for the Design Museum, through a carefully curated programme of film, workshops and visual spectacle. The event made a powerful contribution to the museum’s objectives for the exhibition, one of its most successful ever.
For this major event, timed for the launch of the Christian Louboutin exhibition, Double Decker curated a programme of fashion films —including the award-winning Nuptialis: Is This Real Life (2010)— performances by visual artists D FUSE and a creative workshop on the David Lynch series of Christian Louboutin shoes led by fashion illustrator Spiros Halaris.
The packed and popular evening was subsequently acclaimed for its blurring and disrupting of fashion-film boundaries.
