February 2015

Dr. Richard Arm of Nottingham Trent University, creator of the first prosthetic human heart with 3D printed parts, discussed the interconnections between science & design, and 3D Printing’s impact on medicine, with Emanouil Papastavrou (also of Nottingham Trent University), before a lively audience of science specialists.

One of the world’s first partly 3D-printed human hearts was exhibited at the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Centre in connection with the 3D Printing exhibition.
