Agostino Bonalumi
Distorting and playing with light and space to create an interesting narrative between seen and unseen forces, Agostino Bonalumi’s (1935 – 2013) canvases feel very much alive; simultaneously reaching out and drawing you in. As a painter, sculptor, and leading figure of the Italian avant-garde, he explored the plasticity of canvas and the possibilities of intricate irregular stretchers.
