Signage design and artwork curation for the sophisticated residential building LUMA, in Kings Cross, London. Interior design by award-winning firm, Conran + Partners.
Concept
Luma’s design vocabulary was developed using the language of light. The signage employs a carefully conceived, chiaroscuro-inspired interplay of light and shade, contrasted with an unexpected use of materials, namely woods and brass. Throughout, the signage carries the visitor on a journey, using reflections and ʽechoesʼ of light to create an ever-changing system that evolves from dusk till dawn.
The artwork collection was developed as a continuation of the project’s wider narrative and to reflect the DNA of the building.
Role
Signage design, wayfinding strategy, art curation
