Amir Nikravan
We are especially fond of LA based Amir Nikravan’s work as it is a thought provoking example of how an artist can interpret an architects work – something which is very close to our hearts. Nikravan, who explores the relationship between paint and sculpture, has deconstructed a building in Pasadena that was designed by the late architect Edward Durrell Stone; using a lozenge shape element of the building, he divides it into segments and then rearranges it to create an abstract interpretation.
